“I struggled to take picture with him” – Rema Says as He Brings Out Kcee at Toronto Concert

Young Nigerian music sensation, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, took a moment to reflect on his journey in the music industry, particularly his encounter with Kcee, a fellow musician. Rema shared his nostalgic feelings during his sold-out concert in Toronto, Canada, where he brought Kcee on stage.
Rema recounted a heartwarming story from about 17 years ago when he attended a concert featuring Kcee as one of the performing artists in Benin City, Edo State. At that time, Rema was just a child and an aspiring musician himself. He recalled attempting to take a selfie with Kcee, but security personnel prevented him from getting close.
However, what touched Rema‘s heart was Kcee‘s kind gesture. The “Limpopo” hit-maker noticed the situation and instructed his security team to let Rema in, allowing them to take a picture together.
Rema expressed deep respect for Kcee, referring to him as a legend in the music industry. He considered it a great honor to have Kcee perform at his own concert nearly two decades after their initial meeting, with Rema being a fan at the time.
This heartwarming story highlights the power of music to inspire and unite artists across generations, showcasing Rema‘s humility and appreciation for those who paved the way in the industry.
