Production Warrant Issued for Naira Marley in Internet Fraud Case

A Lagos court has issued a production warrant against the popular singer, Naira Marley, in an internet fraud case. The warrant, issued by Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, mandates Naira Marley to appear in court on October 30, 2023, to respond to charges of internet fraud.

The charges were filed against Naira Marley by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2019.

Naira Marley was arrested by the EFCC in May 2019 on suspicion of being involved in internet fraud. He was later released on bail.

The singer has denied the allegations against him. He has also accused the EFCC of persecuting him.
